In a world torn by conflict and despair, Mushtaq Jaffer stands as a beacon of hope and resilience. Born into a family with deep roots in Yemen and Iraq, his life story is woven with threads of compassion, duty, and a profound connection to his heritage. The founder of BringingHopes, a Muslim Charity Foundation based in the USA, Mr. Jaffer’s mission is deeply personal, driven by his own experiences and the legacy of service and sacrifice passed down through generations.
Growing up in Yemen, Mr. Jaffer witnessed firsthand the brutal reality of British colonial rule. He remembers violent protests, tanks scouring neighborhoods, and the constant threat of curfew and food shortages. It was during this turbulent time that his father was severely injured by gunfire while returning home with provisions.His health deteriorated from then on, plagued by ailments and suffering until his passing. This deeply personal experience, coupled with the ongoing conflict and deprivation faced by his extended family and close friends, ignited a fire within Mr. Jaffer.
Having escaped to continue his education, Mr. Jaffer never forgot the struggles of his homeland. Years later, witnessing the plight of Muslim communities across Yemen, Iraq, Lebanon, Palestine, Pakistan, and India fueled his desire to act. BringingHopes wasn’t just a response; it was a tribute to the enduring spirit of his loved ones and a testament to the power of compassion and Mr. Jaffer has been involved in this work since 2014, at the onset of hostilities by coalition forces in Yemen.
Mr. Jaffer’s dedication transcends mere rhetoric. His collaboration with organizations like Sustainable Aid Foundation and Comfort Aid International, led by Mr. Abdul Karim, ensures essential aid reaches those in dire need. Mr. Abdul Karim serves as the chief aid coordinator for Iraq, Lebanon, Yemen, and soon Gaza. BringingHopes works closely with Sustainable Aid Foundation in Yemen and collaborates with Comfort Aid International for aid distribution in the mentioned regions.
However, what sets BringingHopes apart is its commitment to making a tangible difference in the lives of those in need. BringingHopes collects funds for Dar Al Zahra in Najaf, Iraq, and for UNRWA. This support directly impacts communities, providing essential resources and hope for a better future.
